Ahhh, summer! As the city packs away remnants of the dreadful reminders of its epic winter, everyone is heading out to enjoy summer every way possible. Winter in Boston is famously freezing but summer here can also be terribly unbearable. The good news is there are plenty of ways to stay cool and enjoy summer before we have to return to bundling up and complain about winter again. Two great places are sure to welcome you inside from the heat with their new summer menus: Haru and The Tip Tap Room. Haru, located at 55 Huntington Avenue in the Back Bay, is a great place to enjoy summer indoors.The following summer dishes and cocktails are available now until October 6:
From the kitchen: Bluefin Crab & Corn Fritter: blue crab, corn, green onion, ginger, Thai basil and an Old Bay dressing ($8) Tuna Tataki & Tomato Salad: seared rare tuna, vine ripened tomatoes, avocado and fresh herbs in a light lemon vinaigrette ($16) Watermelon Roll: snow crab, green onion, mint and watermelon that is topped with shrimp and served with a lemon dressing ($18)
From the bar: Cucumber Matcha Margarita: Avión Silver tequila, Ty Ku Cucumber sake, Luxardo and matcha mixed in with a housemade cucumber-jalapeño ($7.50) Watermelon Lemonade: Absolut Citron, Ty Ku Silver Junmai, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur, fresh watermelon, lemon and thyme syrup.
