Great news, burger lovers! Beta Burger is here and they are great! What is so great about Beta Burger is the burgers are slow cooked in an oven in water vapor, sous vide style. The result is a moist, non-greasy burger. The fun part at Beta Burger is the customization line where you choose your favorite burger toppings and fry seasonings. I love that Beta Burger offers seasoning mixes: garlic parmesan, buffalo, salt and vinegar, sour cream and onion to dress up your fries. Just add seasoning mix to the fry bag and shake!
Your choices to build your burger are Angus beef or chicken (vegetarian coming soon). Free toppings to choose from are: American cheese, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, jalapenos, relish, “not so special” sauce, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, and Beta steak sauce. Try the steak sauce, it was good and I liked it!. At an additional cost, you can also add caramelized onions, sauteed oyster mushrooms, coleslaw, and smoked bacon cheese.
Beta Burger founder, Adrian Wong opened Beta Burger last fall directly across the street from the Roxbury Crossing train station. Located in Mission Hill, it is near Roxbury Community College, Northeaster University and the Reggie Lewis Center. Soon The location is a great choice not only for business but also as part of the neighborhood’s revitalization. Once the word gets out, Beta Burger will soon be packed so I suggest visiting soon.
The next time you are in the area, treat yourself to a healthy burger and tell Adrian I sent you!
