Chef Patrick Gilmartin is bringing fall favorites to Assembly Row with the launch of a revamped menu at River Bar. Chef Gilmartin’s new items incorporate the peak flavors of the season in eclectic, thoughtfully prepared small and large plate offerings.

River Bar’s two new “hot” cocktail concoctions will keep guests warm throughout the season while cozying up next to the dueling fire pits:

River Bar is open daily from 11:00am to 1:00am and for Sunday brunch service beginning at 11:00am.


River Bar opened its doors in Somerville’s Assembly Row in November of 2014. River Bar offers an intimate indoor setting complete with a traditional bar and a culinary bar and an expansive, lively outdoor area with fire pits and trees overlooking the Mystic River. The menu of “elevated street food” by Executive Chef Patrick Gilmartin (Staff Meal Food Truck; Rialto) is complemented by a contemporary cocktail list that is founded in classic preparations. This is restaurateur Ken Kelly’s sixth establishment in Somerville, joining sister venues The Independent, Foundry on Elm, Saloon, Brass Union and the Davis Square Theatre.
