Brass Union, an eatery and lounge founded by restaurateur Ken Kelly, opened its doors in Somerville’s Union Square in June of 2014. Housed in the space that formerly inhabited Somerville’s police headquarters, Brass Union encompasses two spaces that boast two distinct – yet synergetic – concepts. In the front restaurant and bar area, Brass Union sets the stage for a New York City-style tavern reminiscent of days of yore and in the rear space there is an interactive lounge with a vintage tabletop video game and shuffleboard tables. Brass Union dishes out a diverse menu of American dishes with global inspiration complemented by inventive craft cocktails that incorporate housemade syrups and sodas and there are 24 draft lines.
